"This piece was originally written for an adult student whose small lap harp had a limited range/number of strings. Finding enjoyable music for this size instrument was challenging, so I wrote a piece specifically for my student, who is a writer and philosopher with a deep soul, has a keen interest in sound and color, and is a music teacher herself. This piece memorializes our relationship and time together.

AZURE is for solo lever or pedal harp, in the key of C, in 3/4 time. It is one page, and there are no lever or pedal changes."
