Choral Repertoire: Harp Parts, compiled and edited by Jacqueline Pollauf, is a collection of complete harp parts from seven choral works. The book includes music from six standard choral pieces as well as Pollauf’s own transcription of a piece by Lili Boulanger. Each part is re-notated with modern notation and includes helpful harp-specific information: pedal markings, cues, enharmonic equivalents, and some suggested fingerings. Page layouts have been carefully optimized for page turns. A textual introduction is also provided for each part with background information and performance notes. This collection is an excellent resource for harpists from students to professionals in learning, rehearsing, and performing these works.

Works included:

Ein deutsches Requiem, op. 45 (A German Requiem) by Johannes Brahms
Vier Gesänge, op. 17 (Four Songs) by Johannes Brahms

Requiem, op. 9 by Maurice Duruflé

Requiem, op. 48 by Gabriel Fauré

Choral Hymns from the Rig Veda, Group 3, op. 26 by Gustav Holst

Oratorio de Noël, op. 12 (Christmas Oratorio) by Camille Saint-Saëns

Soleils de Septembre by Lili Boulanger, transcribed by Jacqueline Pollauf

A true treasure for the harp community

Posted by KJS on 14th Jan 2026

This publication fills a significant void in the harp world. Many have realized the musical (foremost) and visual (bonus) benefits to including the harp to dramatically enhance choral music. Jacqueline Pollauf has thought of and included all details including fascinating program notes, notations and annotations. She also thought to strategically place blank pages in a few spots to allow for ideal page turns when new pieces begin. These details are things that only a well-seasoned professional harpist would think to offer. The notes are crisp and clear, the pedal charts are judiciously offered (and appreciated), the dynamics and pedal changes are also clearly marked. I can only imagine the labor of love and legacy that went into this much needed contribution to the harp world.
