The Happy Harps curriculum is a step-by-step approach that combines satisfying repertoire with a solid foundation in technique and theory/note reading. With two tracks available to accommodate different beginners, the series takes a student of any age from the very first lesson up through an early intermediate level.

Level 1B is for any student who has completed Level 1A. It requires a 26-string harp with levers. Topics covered include adding the third finger, half and whole steps, sharps and naturals, gesture/raising, parallel and contrary motion, eighth and dotted quarter note rhythms, key signatures, p.d.l.t., basic triads, and arpeggios.
