This arrangement is part of the At Your Fingertips series of classical works arranged for the harp at a late-intermediate level. “Panis Angelicus” is the highly recognizable tenor solo from Cesar Franck’s Mass for Three Voices. The piece features extended LH chords and arpeggios (up to and occasionally beyond tenths) which mirror the sonority of the original pipe organ and the gentle rocking of the original harp part. Pedal changes are thoughtfully and consistently marked, with one instance of the left foot crossing over to the right foot’s E pedal. It is a great addition to an intermediate student’s lesson repertoire or a seasoned performer’s background music and an effective choice for funerals and memorial services.
