This beautiful and haunting carol from the Appalachian Mountains has been artfully arranged for high voice, lever or pedal harp, and optional cello.  It is an evocative Christmas piece that is not often performed, but is instantly appreciated for its unique beauty. Designed for the intermediate harpist in the key of B minor, there are no accidentals. The vocal range is best suited to a soprano or tenor, the highest note being F sharp on the top of the staff. The cello part requires an advanced intermediate player.
