The Lyon & Healy Prelude 38 is the predecessor to today's popular Prelude 40 and shares the same classical design philosophy that has made the Prelude series a favorite among harp teachers and advancing students. Featuring 38 strings with concert tension gut strings in the middle register, the Prelude 38 offers the feel and response of a classical lever harp while providing an excellent foundation for harpists preparing for the transition to pedal harp.
Built with a solid Sitka spruce soundboard, the Prelude produces a warm, resonant tone with excellent projection. This harp is fitted with Lyon & Healy Performance Levers, providing smooth and reliable lever operation.
Estimated to have been built in 2006, this Prelude 38 is in excellent structural and cosmetic condition. It is currently undergoing a full inspection, including a string and regulation evaluation, to ensure it is ready for its next owner.
