Introduced in 1918, the Lyon & Healy Style 17 is a beautifully appointed concertino pedal harp featuring elegant French Renaissance-inspired styling. Slightly smaller than a concert grand, the Style 17 offers exceptional projection and tonal depth while providing a comfortable reach for many harpists.
Built in 1989, this gold and Bird's Eye Maple Style 17 is a gorgeous example of one of Lyon & Healy's classic concertino harps. Structurally sound and in good overall condition, this instrument offers a rare opportunity to own a beautifully crafted Style 17 in one of Lyon & Healy's most elegant finish combinations.
Cosmetically, the harp has a few signs of normal use, including some chipping along the soundboard wings and minor flaking in portions of the gold gilding. There is also very slight movement of the baseboard. Based on the appearance of the base and the age of the harp, we believe it has previously received a base frame replacement, although documentation of that work is not available.
This harp is currently pending a full restring and regulation.
