Naumachia by Axum Nickerson
A Naumachia was a grand and often lethal ancient Roman spectacle involving the large-scale reenactment of naval battles in flooded amphitheaters. Axum set out to write a waltz in a minor key and was inspired to title the piece Naumachia as it sounded like a war with its waltz elements giving it a swing feel. We hope you enjoy Naumachia!
