Atlanta Harp Center is pleased to offer a collection of harp publications researched and prepared by Carl Swanson, an accomplished harpist, author, educator, and longtime authority on the harp.
Carl Swanson received advanced training as a harpist in both the United States and France before turning his professional attention to harp repair and restoration. Throughout his career, his knowledge and passion for the instrument have extended far beyond performance. He has written extensively on harp literature, pedagogy, maintenance, repair, and restoration, with articles appearing in publications including the Journal of the American Harp Society and Harp Column.
Carl has also prepared and edited numerous editions of important harp repertoire, bringing his extensive knowledge of the instrument and its literature to music used by harpists today. His work has included publications with Carl Fischer Music, as well as lectures and presentations at harp conferences and institutions including the Mozarteum in Salzburg, Austria.
His approach to every aspect of his work is guided by a commitment to accuracy, quality, and excellence. The publications below reflect that careful attention to the harp and its repertoire.
